Life in an Off -Grid Cabin

For most of the last 20 years Ive lived in cabins in Alaska. Living in a remote off-grid cabin is a quiet simple way to spend your time.
Ive spent my summers at this log cabin in interior Alaska since 2015. In this video I keep the camera rolling during a typical day in early fall (2019). I get up, make a fire in the wood stove. Cook breakfast on our propane range, and get the dishes washed up using rain water I collect off of a shed roof.
I also, pick some berries and split up the evenings firewood. A little exercise with an axe and a chainsaw always makes you sleep better. Finally i fire up the coleman lantern and turn on the radio as the sun goes down. A nice way to spend a day.
